Frequently Asked Questions
Do your products contain GMOs?
Murray's Chickens are raised on an all-natural vegetarian diet of 100 percent soybeans and corn. We now offer three different varieties of Murray’s Chickens; Murray’s “Grown without Antibiotics, (ABF) Murray’s Non-GMO Project Verified and Murray’s Organic (available at Publix in Florida only_ Our Non-GMO and organic feed never has GMOs so our Non-GMO Project Verified and organic line are definitely Non-GMO. With our ABF line, our goal is to avoid sourcing feed with GMOs. However, because the vast majority of corn and soybean crops grown in the US contain GMOs, it is impossible to track accurately. For this reason, we cannot make a non-GMO claim for our ABF chickens, only for our Non-GMO Project Verified and organic chickens. All of our products are certified gluten-free, including raw chicken, Chicken Sliders and breaded chicken nuggets.

What is Eco-Packaging?At Murray’s we take the same care of our world as we do of our chickens. Sustainable business practices help minimize our impact on the environment. The bottom line is no junk: We don’t put it in our products and we don’t leave it in our path. Our new minimum-impact packaging helps us further limit our ecological footprint. The single material packaging is friendlier for the environment than a non-recyclable foam tray. Freshness and taste are sealed in a sturdy sleeve that is freezer-safe. This means no additional waste and also eliminates the risk of contamination through transferring to freezer bags. Please note that several retailers package our chickens at their store in their own packaging, therefore, our eco packaging claims are not valid for those stores.
Do you add melamine to your chickens’ feed?We do not, nor did we ever, add melamine to our feed.

What does it mean that your chickens are Certified Humane? To guarantee that our chickens lead healthy, happy lives from birth to slaughter, a third party oversees the entire process. For more information about Certified Humane, visit www.certifiedhumane.org
